This Data Privacy Policy describes how parents@work handles personal information collected through the site www.parentsatwork.com, registration lists to our events and mailing lists. More precisely, it describes what information we collect, how we use it and what rights you have in relation to it.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Personal information you disclose to us
Personal information that you provide to us via your registration to our events and to our newsletter. The interface we are using for that reason is wix’s online forms and the ascend app.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Site. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Site and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Site, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
It is our policy to collect only minimum information required to complete your request.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

This website also uses LinkedIn and Facebook cookies to measure the impact of our social media campaigns to continuously improve our activities in supporting working parents and transforming workplace culture. Here as well, IP anonymization is activated.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA

Any user generated content that you may have created before then will not be anonymised following deactivation, nor will it be immediately removed from our systems or records.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only authorised persons are provided access to personally identifiable information collected via events or subscriptions; such individuals have agreed via their contracts to maintain the confidentiality of this information.
Although we use appropriate security measures once we have received your personal data, and all data is saved on a secure server, located in Switzerland, the transmission of data over the internet (including by e-mail) is never completely secure. We endeavour to protect personal data, but we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to or by us.
DO WE MAKE UPDATES TO THIS POLICY?
This privacy policy will be updated as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws. The updated version will be indicated by an updated ‘revised’ date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
